What It Is

The Medlite3 laser is one of the top cosmetic treatments available today. It can be used on all skin types and colours and is an effective treatment for the removal of hyperpigmentation and discolouration on the skin such as freckles, pigmented moles, sun spots, and Café au lait spots.

This laser technology has the ability to treat deep wrinkles and scarring at the deepest layers of the skin. How It Works

The Medlite3 laser works by emitting light that destroys pigmentation, which will ultimately result in spots and skin imperfections to lighten, reduce in appearance, or disappear. The healthy skin and tissue surrounding the treatment area will remain unaffected and not get damaged, and the cells will be stimulated to produce natural collagen and elastin.

Patients describe the feeling similar to warmth in the deeper skin and a rubber band snapping against the skin. Many patients find this very tolerable and do not experience much discomfort. For maximum effectiveness, we recommend waiting until a fresh sun tan or until the effects of a self-tanning product fades completely before undergoing this laser treatment.

This laser treatment is very quick, simple, and easy– suitable for all skin types and skin tones. However, patients with darker skin tones may require more treatments at lower settings in order to avoid the risk of complications. Very minimal downtime is required, and your results will gradually improve over the course of 1 to 3 weeks. Subsequent treatments are usually scheduled at 6 week intervals, although this depends on your needs and will be determined during your consultation.

The total treatment duration will depend on the size, location, and severity of the skin discolouration in the treatment area. This may take anywhere from 15 minutes to 45 minutes.
