What It Is
Facial rejuvenation is a series of cosmetic procedures that are used to restore a youthful, vibrant appearance to the facial complexion. There are a large variety of procedures available and vary both in intensity as well as depth of treatment, depending on your particular skin needs and desired results. Many of the cosmetic procedures offered at Fairview laser are able to effectively treat localized skin conditions on areas of the face as well as other areas of the body, such as lines and wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, scarring, and skin laxity.
Facial rejuvenation cosmetic procedures offered at Fairview Laser include chemical peels, dermal fillers, Xeomin injections, microneedling, radio frequency, and laser resurfacing.
Facial rejuvenation procedures can be completed on many areas of the body aside from just the facial complexion. Many of our patients seek treatment in areas of the body that are exposed to the damaging effects of sunlight exposure and ageing, such as the back of hands, chest, neck, back, and shoulders.
How It Works
At Fairview Laser, we offer a wide range of chemical peels that use different combinations of effective ingredients that exfoliate the top layers of the skin, renewing your facial complexion, and stimulating collagen production along the way. The most common peels use salicylic acid, glycolic acid, and lactic acid, although additional active ingredients can be added and removed depending on which chemical peel you opt for.
Dermal fillers, such as Princess, and Belotero injections are used to restore lost volume in the facial area to smooth out deep lines and wrinkles that naturally form as we age. This includes forehead lines, nasolabial folds, crow’s feet, and marionette lines. They can also be injected into the lips to enhance volume and shape. Many of the dermal fillers offered at Fairview Laser are composed of Hyaluronic Acid, a naturally occuring substance in our skin that is responsible for keeping it hydrated and plump.
As we age, the amount of hyaluronic acid we produce declines, causing volume loss and the formation of lines and wrinkles. These fillers are able to temporarily reduce the volume loss experienced while we age and are very commonly used. Injectable fillers such as Radiesse, formulated with Calcium Hydroxyapatite, are able to provide similar results but are able to last longer in the skin due to the hardier material it is composed of.
Xeomin injections are a popular cosmetic procedure performed globally, and this treatment works immediately to temporarily smooth out lines and wrinkles as a result of repeated muscle contractions.
Laser resurfacing is a technique used in the treatment of lines and wrinkles as the result of aging, sun damage, heredity, lifestyle, acne and scars. The laser resurfacing procedure is performed using CO2 or Fractional Laser. It works by vaporizing the skin’s layers to reveal the younger, healthier skin underneath. It is especially beneficial because the results of this procedure are longer lasting compared to the results received from a chemical or mechanical peel.
These facial rejuvenation procedures will work to eliminate skin discolouration such as hyperpigmentation, scarring, and reduce the appearance of unsightly veins. These procedures will also benefit your skin in the long term by promoting cell growth and the production of collagen and elastin. This will help the skin retain its smoothness and radiance, fighting signs of aging and keeping your appearance young and refreshed.
How long do the results last?
The results you receive from these procedures will vary depending on which you opt for, as well as how well you maintain your results with skincare maintenance and aftercare. During your consultation, Dr. Jain will examine your skin’s condition and recommend the best treatment options available, as well as offer advice for how often the treatment will need to be repeated to provide you with the best results possible.Back
