Wrinkles are caused by the natural breakdown of collagen and elastin in the skin and typically appear as part of the natural aging process. They tend to appear around the eyes and mouth, and their occurrence can be sped up with exposure to the harmful UV rays emitted from the sun. They show up as crow’s feet, lines on the forehead, in the nasolabial folds, and between the eyebrows. Although the aging process is inevitable, you can prevent premature wrinkling of the skin by taking proper care of your skin and avoiding the sun. However, wrinkles caused by aging are not avoidable. Fortunately, there are many preventative measures as well as ways to minimize them if they do develop into deeper lines and wrinkles.
CO2 Laser – The CO2 laser works by heating up, destroying and vaporizing the outermost layers of the skin. This process promotes the healthy production of collagen in the skin to smooth out the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
Fractionated Laser – The Fractionated Laser works to stimulate the production of new collagen by rebuilding your skin deep in the pores. This enhanced collagen production will allow your skin to renew itself and is one of the only lasers that has a minimal downtime associated with it.
Xeomin Injections – Xeomin is injected into the facial muscles that directly cause lines and wrinkles. These are known as “dynamic” wrinkles caused by repeated muscular contractions by frowning and squinting. With zero downtime and almost no pain, this procedure can be done in a matter of minutes and can last for several months.
Radiesse Injections – Radiesse injections rebuild your skin’s foundation and restores your youthful look. Tiny calcium-based microspheres form a “scaffold” to support and stimulate the natural production of collagen below the surface of the skin. Over time, the microspheres gradually break down and are safely and naturally absorbed by your body.
Jessner’s Peel – The Jessner’s Peel is an anti-aging peel designed to dramatically improve skin elasticity and tone. It reverses fine lines and wrinkles, pigment irregularities and mild scarring.
Retinol Peel – The Retinol Peel uses natural Vitamin A to exfoliate the skin. This will help with overall facial rejuvenation and lighten sun damage and uneven pigmentation on the skin, such as acne scars.
Obagi Blue Peel – The Blue Peel is a medium strength chemical peel used to enhance the texture of the skin while diminishing the appearance of fine lines, age spots, and other types of skin discolorations, including sun damage.
TCA Peel – Trichloroacetic Acid is a medium strength chemical agent applied to the face or hands to exfoliate and renew the skin in the treated area. TCA works well for treating darker skin types and has the ability to smooth out fine lines and wrinkles, correct pigmentation, remove superficial blemishes.
